what is the difference between a day 3 embryo and a Blastocyst on day5/6

The above picture shows the difference between a day 5 blastocyst and a embryo on day 3.

Even though Day 3 and day 5 of embryo growth are only a couple of days apart there is a significant difference between these two stages.

Since the embryos grow rapidly, single cell will divide every 12 to 24 hours. So by the time it reaches 3 days of growth, it will be divided between four to eight cells. Similarly on day 5, an embryo will consist of between 100 and 120 cells.

We at Kiran Infertility Center at Hyderabad/bengaluru/ Chennai schedule embryo transfer, by focusing on the quality of the embryo than its stage of growth. Our goal is to choose the best embryos for transfer, which is likely to implant and develop into a healthy fetus.

Personally i prefer Blastocyst transfers though!! the feeling of seeing a fully grown about to hatch blastocyst is something else!!

To know more about when it is done and for whom it is advised kindly check our website:

Do the the chances of a second natural pregnancy increase after a succesful IVF pregnancy?

Fertility doctors recommend their patients to try IVF when they are unable to conceive naturally after years of trying. While there might be several underlying factors causing infertility, doctors remain perplexed by cases where no specific cause can be diagnosed for infertility.

Strangely, medical science has found evidence of patients who had success with IVF becoming pregnant for the second time naturally.

Couples who have adopted out of desperation have experienced such miracles too. There is no hard core research to substantiate the facts, however. Do check out the following facts before contacting your doctor at KIC, Bengaluru (https://kicbengaluru.com/)

1) A study conducted in UK revealed that 29% of women who underwent the treatment could conceive naturally after 6 years
2) 17% couples who found success with other treatments could conceive the second child without assistance

Doctors say that their patients are not sterile but infertile and being treated for a medical condition helped them to recover fully.

all you need to know about ovulation

Importance of Ovulation

You often hear the term ovulation in a doctor’s clinic when you visit a fertility doctor for treatment. It is important to understand how ovulation can affect your chances of becoming pregnant.

It would suffice to know that ovulation is the process for release of mature eggs from the ovary that travels through the fallopian tube and meets a healthy sperm for fertilization to follow. Some of the things that you may
remember to note your own fertility cycle includes the following:-

1) Ovulation occurs roughly on the 14 th day from the beginning of menstrual cycle
2) Vaginal secretions tend to increase before ovulation
3) Doctors check the basal body temperature that increases slightly during the ovulation
4) A few women are asked to look out for signs of ovulation so that the most fertile period is not missed.

You may have to opt for an ART technique if the fertility expert feels that your ovulation is not up to
expectations. Stay informed by visiting https://kicbengaluru.com/assisted-reproductive-technology-in-

Unexplained infertility- causes and treatment

What is Unexplained infertility?

millions of persons, both male and female undergo fertility treatment every year throughout the globe. The success rate is quite high in most of the cases but a few infertile couples find it hard to conceive even with advanced fertility treatments. Such cases fall under the ambit of unexplained infertility

The fertility experts try their best to discover the reason behind infertility and are dedicated to treating their patients. Simply pronouncing it as unexplained will not be correct unless the couple is evaluated carefully with every possible cause being checked thoroughly. Check
https://kicbengaluru.com/infertility-assesment/ for details. An infertile
couple being diagnosed with unexplained infertility will reveal the following:-

1) Regular ovulation
2) Healthy egg reserve
3) Open  fallopian tubes
4) No uterine issues
5) Healthy sperm count and motility

However, if the couple fails to achieve pregnancy despite being healthy can cause emotional distress. Fertility doctors advice to get screened and start appropriate treatments at the earliest in such cases
