IUI is an infertility treatment that assists the sperm
in reaching the oocytes/eggs of the females for fertilization. In some cases, women may report
bleeding as an aftereffect of the IUI procedure. According to the gynecologists

bleeding after IUI should not be confused with implantation bleeding.
Some women may experience a fair amount of bleeding
due to the irritation in the vagina and cervix due to catheter insertion.
Implantation bleeding happens due to embryo getting fixed in its position
resulting in loss of few cells and shedding of uterine lining in the form of blood.
Implantation bleeding occurs usually about 7 days after IUI.
