What is implantation failure?

Implantation failure refers to the failure of embryos to implant in the uterus of the woman during In-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Embryo implantation occurs after an egg is fertilized by sperm and is then transferred to the woman’s uterus in the form of an embryo. The embryo should attach to the uterine wall and create a viable pregnancy.

Embryo implantation fails because of factors that include:

·        Poor Endometrium

·        Excessive obesity

·        Anti Thyroid Antibodies

·        Existing health conditions such as uncontrolled Diabetes and Hypertension

·        Disorders of the reproductive system
