1. Fresh Embryo Transfer: Fertilized Eggs
cultured for 2 to 3 days and best embryos chosen for Embryo transfer.
Disadvantage- cannot select the best embryos. Have
to transfer more embryos. Little guess work involved.
2. Frozen Embryo Transfer: Any healthy embryos
not used during fresh embryo transfer on day 2/3/5 can be frozen and used later.
3. Blastocyst Embryo Transfer: 5-day embryos are
transferred, referred to as a blastocyst
Advantage- selection of best embryo. Cant limit
transfer to 1 or 2 embryos. So have more for freezing
