importance of Ovarian Reserve and How does one test for ovarian reserve?

The ability to become pregnant naturally  declines with increasing age.

This is common knowledge, however what is uknown to most is that this is caused by the depletion of the ovarian  follicles in the ovaries of females known as Antral Follicles.

This is why the number of oocytes or eggs depletes rapidly especially after 35 years of age.

The quality of the eggs is also affected as you age with many of the remaining eggs developing chromosomal defects that decrease the chances of becoming pregnant naturally or increase the chance of miscrriage
fertility consultants at Kiran Infertility centre  test the ovarian reserve in two different ways in order to come up with the right protocol for your treatment

Some of the proven tests undertaken for checking the ovarian reserve include:-

1) Serum Anti Mullerian Hormone levels
2) Antral follicle count by transvaginal ultrasound along with checking the ovarian sizes
